MCV AWARDS: Watch the Battlefield trailer that wowed the crowd

A slice of action from Battlefield 3 was debuted to the MCV Awards crowd last night – and you can relive the clip below.

Due out on November 2nd, the game is headed for PS3, 360 and PC. It’s a direct sequel to Battlefield 2 and the twelfth game in the series.

The game is developed by EA’s Swedish DICE studio and pitched as one of the year’s biggest shooters – with the trailer showing gameplay to prove it.

Showcasing the game at the event has kickstarted EA’s push to promote the game to the rest of the industry in the build up to its Q4 launch.

The reason we are starting to talk about Battlefield 3 at the MCV Awards is because it is the best event to reach everyone across the breadth of the UK gaming industry," explained UK marketing business lead at EA Games Colin Blackwood.

"DICE are developing a phenomenal game on their new Frostbite 2 engine and everyone at EA is excited with how Battlefield 3 is looking already.

"So given DICE’s assurance of quality, ally that to EA’s increased focus on fewer bigger hits, and the size of the shooter genre, we feel Battlefield 3 will be great for the UK industry in general and just had to be showcased at the MCV Awards."
