Molyneux apologises as Godus 2.0 arrives on Steam

A significant update to 22Cans’ Godus has gone live on Steam.

It was announced by creator Peter Molyneux on Twitter, along with an apology for what the developer now sees were imperfections with the game’s initial build.

We collated all your feedback and realised we needed to make these vast changes to the game,” he says in the video below.

We needed to make it because of the feedback we got from you – that it was a click-fest, that you didn’t really know what you were doing or why you were doing it, that there wasn’t enough variation in gameplay, not many people were playing the story, not many people were playing multiplayer.

So we went back to the drawing board on the foundations of our features. The reason we did that is that we really truly want to make a great game.”
