Mountain aiming for Steam and Android release

Having made a lot of noise this last week, Mountain could be making its way to higher ground.

Made by David O’Reilly, the ambient $1 game sees players… well, what you actually do seems to be down to interpretation. Players watch the mountain, certainly. Do they interact with it? Opinion seems divided.

But there’s no denying that the game has been the subject of plenty of chatter in gaming circles. And it’s doing business commercially, too.

For the first few days after launch the game was the top ranked app on the German iOS App Store and No.5 in both the US and China. It was also the No.1 RPG in 33 countries.

It’s already available on PC and iOS but now O’Reilly said: We do want to release on Android & Steam. Android plugin for Unity is too expensive right now and we’re working on Steam stuff. Please bear with us.”
