Nintendo promises more stock of sell-out Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

The newest Monster Hunter has been a much-needed success story for Wii U – so much so that the game is selling out.

Fortunately, Nintendo of Europe has pledged to resupply retailers with fresh stock of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for both Wii U and 3DS within weeks.

"I’d like to apologise for the current stock shortage due to high demand of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate at retail," Nintendo of Europe boss Satoru Shibata tweeted via an official Nintendo account.

"New #MH3U stock will hopefully be available in shops next week for Wii U and mid April for Nintendo 3DS. Both versions of #MH3U are also available on Nintendo eShop. Again, I sincerely apologise for causing any inconvenience."

Sales for the Wii U itself have been slow since launch, but the release of Monster Hunter 3 helped its UK performance rebound significantly. Nintendo has also promised to work with retailers to detail its plans to regain momentum for the new console.
