Nintendo unveils Zelda: Breath of the Wild Amiibo and new set of Super Mario figures

Nintendo revealed a new set of Amiibo yesterday, ahead of its livestream introducing its new Legend of Zelda title, Breath of the Wild, at E3.

Three Zelda-related figures were unveiled: Archer Link, Rider Link and an enemy called the Guardian. The latter will be the first-ever articulated Amiibo.

These three Amiibo are set to be released in 2017 when The Legend of Zelda: Breath of Wild launches.

The platform holder also revealed during its livestream that the Wolf Link Amiibo – launched alongside Twilight Princess HD – will also be compatible with Breath of the Wild, allowing the player to summon a wolf companion.

In addition, Nintendo announced a new set of Super Mario Amiibo, which will launch on November 4th alongside Mario Party Star Rush. The range includes Wario, Waluigi, Daisy, Rosalina, Boo, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong.
