Nvidia GPU shipments up and AMD down in Q4 2013

Despite the perceived decline in the PC games market, graphics cards shipments were up two per cent in Q4 2013.

That’s according to Jon Peddie Research, which says that Nvidia saw an annual 3.4 per cent GPU unit sales increase with Intel climbing 5.1 per cent.

Fudzilla reports, the news was less good for AMD, however, which suffered a 10.4 per cent decline. The company’s desktop APU shipments, however, grew 15 per cent.

34 per cent of all PCs sold in the period had a discrete GPU with the remaining 64 per cent relying on embedded graphics.
