Peter Molyneux to speak at Guildford G3 games expo in July

The town counts among its residents No Man’s Sky developer Hello Games, EA, LittleBigPlanet creator Media Molecule, Fable outlet Lionhead, Godus firm 22cans, Supermassive Games and Ubisoft.

Set for the evening of July 1st, the G3 Futures event (the G3 stands for ‘Galvanizing Guildford Games’) will include a number of keynotes from industry execs and R&D technology demos.

It will take place at the newly-constructed 5G Innovation Centre in the University of Surrey, kicking off at 5pm with an introduction with the COO for the centre, Keith Robson.

Other speakers on the day will include legendary game creator Peter Molyneux, Sony Mobile London’s Chris Clifton and Sony Computer Entertainment’s Phil Rogers, as well as execs from EA, Criterion, Imaginarium Studios, Epic Games and more.

A BBQ and drinks networking expo will take place after the talks at 7pm, before the entire event closes at 9:30pm.

The proceedings are being organised as part of a collaboration between the University of Surrey, games trade body Ukie and South East technology law specialist Charles Russell Speechlys.
