Play.com slashes £40 off Rock Band

Play.com have given UK Rock Band fans something to smile about – by cutting the total cost for Rock Band and all the game’s instruments by 40.

According to MTV and EA, the suggested UK retail price of the ‘Band In a Box’ SKU of Rock Band – which includes drums, guitar and microphone – is 129.99.

Throw in the actual game, which has an SRP of 49.99, and UK consumers have to shell out a total of 179.98 to enjoy the title at its fullest.

However, Play.com has knocked a full 30 off the Band In a Box SKU, down to 99.99, and 10 off the software, selling it for 39.99 – a total saving of 40.

However, Rock Band rival Guitar Hero hasn’t been forgotten on the site, either – with a whole sales section dedicated to the franchise.

Elsewhere, HMV and Gamestation have both cut the cost of the full game and instrument pack to around 140.
