UK games developer Rare has teamed up with licensing agent Tinderbox to develop merchandise based on its hit brands.
That includes Sea of Thieves, which was unveiled at E3 last week. The pirate game is currently without a release date.
Other games set to receive the merchandise treatment includes Battletoads, Banjo-Kazooie, Conker, Perfect Dark and Viva Piata. All of these games were part of last year’s Rare Replay collection, and Insert Coin produced a clothing range devoted to these titles. There have also already been vinyl sets featuring the soundtracks from some of these games.
The sort of items that Tinderbox and Rare are hoping to find partners for includes toys, collectibles, publishing and gift products – so expect that Banjo-Kazooie novelisation we all dreamed of.
There is already a Sea of Thieves shop on the game’s official website, which sells a range of clothing.
