RETAIL BIZ: EA dominates PC chart

Electronic Arts has stormed the PC charts this week, taking the top two positions with its latest releases.

Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight debuted at No.1, with fellow new release Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening following in second place.

The publisher also held onto four other positions in the Top 10 with Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Left 4 Dead 2, The Sims 3 and its World Adventures expansion pack.

These titles fend off previous PC hits such as Supreme Commander, Assassin’s Creed II and even the perennial seller World Of Warcraft – all of which fall out of the charts this week.

Sega and THQ hold onto the remaining four places, with the latter’s Metro 2033 as the only other new entry to enter to the PC Top 10.

EA’s C&C4 and Dragon Age just missed out on Top 10 spots in the All Formats charts, taking No.11 and No.12 respectively. Metro 2033 outperformed them, taking fifth place thanks to strong sales of the Xbox 360 edition.
