Sega pulls PS4 Alien: Isolation patch

A patch designed to fix stuttering cutscene issues has instead caused significant problems for Alien: Isolation players on PS4.

Soon after its release users began to complain about game crashes and, in some cases, broken game saves. All of which has led to Sega removing the PS4 1.2 patch entirely

We’ve discovered an issue with the latest patch (v1.02) for Alien: Isolation on PS4, where some users are having difficulties with playing Mission 5,” a statement confirmed. We’re currently working with Sony on a fix and will have that available as soon as possible.

"In the meantime, we want to make sure that this issue doesn’t prevent you playing Alien: Isolation. With this in mind, we’ve removed patch v1.02 from the servers for PS4 only.”

Users who have already downloaded the patch are advised to delete the game entirely and the redownload and reinstall it, along with patch 1.1.
