Shovel Knight is set to receive a free update packing a completely new campaign later this week, developer Yacht Club has announced.
Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows will have players working through an all-new” adventure starring Plague Knight, along with a new challenge mode.
The content launches this Thursday, September 17thfor free – with Yacht Club adding the twist that players must beat the original Shovel Knight campaign to unlock the new content.
For those that might have lost their progress, or would like to play the content immediately on a new platform, the studio will be providing special unlock codes upon request.
Shovel Knight is currently available on PS3, PS4, Vita, Wii U, 3DS, Xbox One, PC, Mac and Linux. The titular character alsoholds the honorof being the first (and thus far only) Amiibo to come from an independently developed IP.
