Shower simulator Rinse and Repeat banned from Twitch

Rinse and Repeat is a game about taking a shower. Typically showers are taken when naked. And nudity is pretty much not allowed on Twitch.

Rinse and Repeat is described as a ‘first person male showing game’. It’s made by developer Robert Yang and is unashamedly designed to explore homosexuality.

However, Twitch’s rules of conduct prevent games featuring an assortment of potentially sensitive conduct from being streamed. In Rinse and Repeat’s case, it’s likely that it contravenes Twitch’s ‘Sexually explicit acts or content’ rule, which states:

Nudity can’t be a core focus or feature of the game in question and modded nudity is disallowed in its entirety. Occurrences in game are okay, so long as you do not make them a primary focus of your stream and only spend as much time as needed in the area to progress the game’s story.”

17 games are currently banned from Twitch. 14 of these are due to ToS violations – Battle Rape, BMX XXX, Cobra Club, Criminal Girls, Dramatical Murder, Grezzo, HuniePop, RapeLay, Sakura Spirit, Sakura Fantasy, Sakura Swim Club, Second Life, The Guy Game and now Rinse and Repeat.

Three further titles are banned owing to their AO (Adults Only) ESRB rating – Hatred, Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy: Director’s Cut and Manhunt 2: Uncut.
