Snake Pass beats Zelda to No.1 spot in Switch eShop charts

Charts have arrived on the Nintendo Switch eShop and Sumo Digital’s Snake Pass is the first title to take the No.1 spot.

The charts are based on the number of downloads from the last two weeks, and will be updated automatically, according to Nintendo’s Switch news post, giving players an up-to-the-minute picture of all the most popular titles the eShop has to offer.

Snipperclips is at No.2, while Shin’en’s racing title Fast RMX is at No.3. Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is charting at No.4 and Aca Neogeo Metal Slug is at No.5.

Surprisingly, 1-2-Switch currently ranks higher The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, taking the No.6 spot over Zelda’s No.8. However, considering the charts are only from the last two weeks, we suspect a combination of its high storage requirement (13.6GB – which would take up almost half of the Switch’s internal storage) and the fact it’s been out for over a month at retail are no doubt contributing to its slightly lower-than-expected chart position. 1-2-Switch, meanwhile, only requires 1.3GB of storage.

Launch title Super Bomberman R also made the Top 15, charting at No.12, and Frozenbyte’s Has-Been Heroes, which only launched yesterday, charted at No.13. Here’s the chart in full as of April 5th:

  1. Snake Pass
  2. Snipperclips – Cut it Out, Together!
  3. Fast RMX
  4. Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove
  5. Aca Neogeo Metal Slug
  6. 1-2-Switch
  7. World of Goo
  8. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of Wild
  9. Human Resource Machine
  10. Aca Neogeo Metal Slug 3
  11. Little Inferno
  12. Super Bomberman R
  13. Has-Been Heroes
  14. Blaster Master Zero
  15. Aca Neogeo Neo Turf Masters
