Sony drops big Uncharted PS4 re-release hint

Some are chalking this up as a mistake. We’re not quite as convinced.

In a blog post detailing the new YouTube sharing functionality now available on PS4 as part of the 2.00 firmware update, Sony used a screenshot showing someone uploading an Uncharted 3 clip.

Uncharted 3 is only available on PS3, of course.

Yes, it’s possible that the PS4 could be playing the game on the PlayStation Now streaming service but considering that rumours of an Uncharted Collection release for PS4 have been doing the rounds for some time, that seems like the safe bet.

Could Uncharted Collection release alongside Uncharted 4 next year? It would certainly be consistent with Sony’s existing strategy.

Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune debuted on PS3 in 2007 and was an instant critical hit. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves followed in 2009 and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception in 2011. Vita spin-off Golden Abyss was released in 2012.

The series’ commercial performance has been slower to catch on, although each entry has enjoyed increased success.
