Sony officially details The Last of Us: Remastered

The extensive additions to the PS4 version of The Last of Us have at last been revealed by Sony.

The PlayStation Blog says that The Last of Us: Remastered will offer 1080p visuals, higher resolution character models, improvements to shadows and lighting and upgraded textures.

Naughty Dog’s creative director Neil Druckmann added on Twitter that his studio is handling the remake and that it is targeting” 60 frames per second.

Also included in the package is a director’s commentary for all of the cinematics starring Druckmann and voice actors Troy ‘Joel’ Baker and Ashley ‘Ellie’ Johnson, as well as all of the game’s post release DLC.

There are also a bunch of pre-order extras like skins and bonus Factions XP as well as some single player upgrades like faster reloading, crafting and healing. Digital pre-orders on PSN will instead get early access to some multiplayer extras.

The game has a release date of summer 2014.
