Splinter Cell Blacklist sneaking onto shelves this August

Ubisoft will release the latest instalment of its popular Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell series this summer.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist will arrive on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on August 23rd in the UK, the publisher has confirmed to MCV. That’s three days after the August 20th release date that was announced for the US today, according to IGN.

Blacklist was announced at E3 last year and was originally planned for a Q1 2013 release, but the game has now been pushed back to the summer.

It once again puts players in the stealth suit of Sam Fisher as he attempts to unmask and defeat the terrorist groups blackmailing the United States.

The last Splinter Cell game was 2010’s Conviction. A Splinter Cell movie is also in the works.
