Square Enix is working on a browser-based Kingdom Hearts game to tie into its upcoming PS3-effort Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix.
Developed by Success Corporation, Kingdom Hearts X[chi] has been revealed as a free-to-play title that will be playable online. According to Siliconera, it will be supported by microtransactions that allow players to power-up their characters faster.
Those who purchase HD 1.5 Remix will score some bonus items for the online game. The first available print copies of the console title will come with a code for a Sora card, 20,000 munny, and a 4,000 card draw point; and those who purchase directly through Square Enix will also receive a Riku card, 10 potions, and 10 ethers.
No release date has been mentioned yet for the browser title, but Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix is set to launch in Japan next month on March 14th.
