Team17 opens publishing office in Nottingham

Worms developer Team17 has opened a publishing office in Nottingham.

The firm expanded into third-party publishing last year, and already has a large 2014 release slate, including Light, The Escapists, Hay Ewe, Schrdinger’s Cat And The Raiders Of The Lost Quark, Overruled! and Penarium across multiple platforms.

It specialises in indie titles and acts as both a digital and boxed publisher.

The new office will focus on all of Team17’s commercial and publishing activities.

Managing director, Debbie Bestwick said: We’ve been staggered by the number of Indies that have approached us and even more so by the services they require. Simply put, traditional publishing cannot deliver what Team17 can. Opening a publishing office gives the publishing side of the business a separate identity and will sharpen our focus even further. We are actively recruiting for commercially-minded and innovative publishing personnel across a number of areas to help build upon 2013’s record breaking year.”
