Titanfall claims US April victory, although InFamous is best-selling next-gen game

EA’s Xbox One, 360 and PC shooter Titanfall was the best selling game in the US in April.

It was also the best selling game in the UK in April. That means it has topped the monthly charts in both countries for two months in a row.

However, Sony says that InFamous: Second Son was the best-selling next-gen game meaning it outdid the Xbox One version of the shooter, which debuted on 360 only last month.

Remember that NPD also revealed overnight that PS4 hardware had outsold Xbox One for the fourth month in succession in April.

In all US gamers spent $227.9m on boxed games in April, which is down ten per cent year-on-year.

As always, NPD numbers omit digital sales.
