There's a healthy spate of new releases on shelves this week, including supernatural shooters, surreal puzzle games and sprawling RPGs.

2K Games' The Darkness II follows up the success of the 2007 FPS, once again putting players in the shoes of Jackie Estacado, who takes on demons with both ordinary guns and mysterious powers called The Darkness.

Meanwhile, Deep Silver cater to puzzle fans with Japanese cult hit Catherine, which follows a man plagued by a strange woman and powerful dreams that could kill him.

Finally, Electronic Arts expands its RPG portfolio with Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, an open world fantasy adventure from the talent behind the Elder Scrolls series.

Also out this week is Fallout New Vegas: Ultimate Edition (Bethesda) and Grand Slam Tennis 2 (EA).
