FIFA 15 is the early favourite to claim the Christmas No.1 crown, as per bookie William Hill.
Videogamer reports that EA’s football game is 1/4 on, followed by Destiny (7/2) and Assassin’s Creed: Unity (7/1). It’s at that point that things get a little stranger with Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris (9/1) and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel (9/1) coming next.
LEGO Batman 3 (16/1) is a better choice although we’d be pretty surprised to see F1 2014 (16/1) standing that big a chance. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare doesn’t even figure.
That’s actually an amended selection, too, with the initial listing placing Konami’s Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in third with odds of 6/1. That game’s not out until 2015.
William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly said: "Destiny is no doubt going straight to the top of the charts this week but its sales look likely to tail off to make way for FIFA come Christmas."
