Bayonetta 2 exclusive to Wii U

In a shock announcement, the sequel to Platinum Games’ critically acclaimed Bayonetta will be exclusive to Nintendo’s new console.

Nintendo of Europe boss Satoru Shibata introduced the surprise reveal during today’s online press conference, during which the Wii U was given a November 30th release date for Europe and the UK.

Bayonetta 2 will be published by Nintendo itself and is currently in development at Platinum Games. No release date or added details were given.

The original Bayonetta was released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in 2010 and fans have been calling for a sequel ever since.

Platinum Games is also developing quirky action strategy game The Wonderful 101, previously known as Project-100. This is also exclusive to Wii U.
