Tommy Palm is to spearhead next week’s inaugural BAFTA Games Guru Live event.
One of the creators of Candy Crush Saga at King, who later went on to co-found studio Resolution Games, bolsters the previously announced line-up starring some of the brains behind acclaimed mobile hits Monument Valley, Lumino City and 80 Days – Ustwo Games producer Dan Gray, State of Play’s Luke Whittaker and Katherine Bidwell, and writer Meg Jayanth, respectively.
Games Guru Live will consist of a day-long event including talks, workshops and classes, as well as the chance to network with fellow devs.
Games makes up a third of the total three-day Guru Live show, with the other two days dedicated to TV and Film.
General admission for the April 30th event are priced at £6, with devs with more than six months of experience able to purchase ‘Guru Pro’ tickets for £40, granting one-to-one meetings with the speakers.
Panels and sessions on the day include the following: Games Creative Keynote, Game Masterclass, Turning Points, The Storytellers, Capturing Performance, Virtual Reality and Microtalks.
