From Dust to become Google Chrome game

Ubisoft has announced plans to port From Dust to Google’s free web browser Chrome.

The game has previously been available first on Xbox Live before arriving on PC and the PlayStation Network.

From Dust was created by Eric Chahi who is arguably best known for his graphically stunning 1991 hit Another World. The game is a God sim very much in the vein of cult hit Populous, but with a greater emphasis placed on the environment and its manipulation at the hands of the player.

The idea of Google Chrome as a games platform is relatively new, but due to leaps in HTML tech has now become a very viable option.

Other hits to appear on the service include indie RPG Bastion and, of course, Angry Birds.
