Sony has emerged as the partner who will help Google launch its Google TV service in the UK – and it’s arriving next month.
It will be the first time that Google TV has been available outside of the US, the BBC reports. It will be launched in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Australia, Canada and Brazil at the same time.
Sony’s hardware will retail for around 200, making it twice the price of Apple’s rival offering Apple TV.
It will include a two-sided remote control that offers a complete QWERTY keyboard. It will also be controllable with a compatible smartphone.
A Blu-ray version will be released at a later stage and will retail for around 300.
