Rumours have been doing the rounds for a while, but today, Thatgamecompany has officially announced that its three games – Flow, Flower and Journey, are heading to the PS3 on a Blu-ray disc.
The three games were earlier released on PSN as part of the developer’s three-game exclusivity deal with Sony. In the US, the three game collection will be priced at $29.99, which means we can expect the Indian release to be priced anywhere between Rs 1,499 and Rs 1,899.
All three award-winning games will come with new as well as previously released DLC. The Journey Collector’s Edition includes:
- 30-minute behind-the-scenes documentary about the making of Journey
- Creator commentary play-throughs of all three games
- Three exclusive mini-games from thatgamecompany
- Concept art and screenshot galleries for all three games
- Original soundtracks for all three games
- PS3 dynamic themes and wallpapers
- PSN avatars including eight exclusive new Journey avatars
- Official game trailers and developer diary videos
- Reversible cover art
The three mini-games – Gravediggers, Duke War!!, and Nostril Shot – are products of a Thatgamecompany tradition – the 24 hr Game Jam. Each game was built from start to finish within just 24 hours.
While the Journey Collector’s Edition is scheduled for release in the US on August 28, a release date for India is yet to be announced. The developer also revealed the tentative box art for the Collector’s Edition (which also indicates that a free 1 month subsciption to PlayStation Plus is included):
