The UK-based mobile games developer has entered an output partnership with publisher Player One.
The long-term partnership starts immediately and provisionally covers the development of ten games over the next two years, including current and future acquired sporting licences.
Existing franchises included as part of deal are Ronnie O’Sullivan, Freddie Flintoff and Steve Davis, with additional licences to be announced later in 2007.
Player One and Shadow Light first started working together in 2004 and have since developed and published a number of titles, such as Ronnie O’Sullivan Snooker 2007 and Freddie Flintoff All-Round Cricket.
Player One managing director Pete Russell said: "Shadow Light has created some exceptional games for Player One over the last couple of years, with each title produced raising the bar in terms of quality and expectation. As such, we are very much looking forward to working with them with our major licences over the coming years. Our commitment to Shadow Light makes perfect sense for us, as we believe they will continue to flourish as a leading international developer."
Shadow Light Games managing director Aamar Rana said: "Securing this output deal with Player One is a tremendous step forward for raising the profile of Shadow Light Games. Consumer interest in mobile gaming has exploded over the last year and the demand for high quality games that provide the console experience is stronger than ever.
"We feel that with our heritage in game development and Player One’s talent, market know-how in sports and global distribution network, this deal will firmly put Shadow Light Games on the map as a premier league developer."
