BigPark studio director Justin Dowdeswell has been named as the general manager of Company of Heroes developer Relic Entertainment, a studio spokesperson has confirmed to Develop.
Creative Assembly studio director Tim Heaton had previously been appointed as interim GM of the Vancouver-based outfit in April following Sega’s acquisition of the studio from THQ for £26.6 million.
Prior to that, Alex Peters had led the company as studio head, before moving on to Activision as VP of production. Jonathan Dowdeswell had also held the role of executive producer at the studio prior to Tim Heaton’s appointment.
As well as working at Kinect Sports: Season Two and Joy Ride Turbo developer BigPark as studio director, Justin Dowdeswell has previously held roles as development director at EA and as a producer and studio GM at Next Level Games.
Relic Entertainment recently released RTS title Company of Heroes 2, which sold over 380,000 copies as of July. The game garnered an average rating of 80 on metacritic.
