Resident Evil 7 and Batman Arkham VR are timed PSVR exclusives

Resident Evil 7’s VR mode and Batman: Arkham VR will be exclusive to the PSVR for the first few months.

A new set of advertisements on the PlayStation Facebook page revealed that both games will have some form of PlayStation VR exclusivity.

Resident Evil 7’s VR mode will be exclusive to Sony’s VR offering for 12 months, meaning it may appear on other VR systems in early 2018. The mode, which can currently be tested out in the game’s demo, will be part of the release of Resi 7 on January 24, 2017.

The new advertisements also revealed that Warner’s Batman Arkham VR will be exclusive to PSVR until 31st March 2017. Batman fans will be able to play this at PSVR’s launch on October 13th.

It is worth noting that neither Resident Evil 7’s VR mode or Batman Arkham VR have been confirmed for any other platform, so while the timed exclusivity hints that they may make the switch to PC based VR experiences it is far from confirmed.
