The Last of Us Remastered and Diablo III break into Japanese charts

Two Western releases have broken into the Japanese software charts this week, according to data from Famitsu.

Sony’s Remastered edition of hit title The Last of Us debuted in third place in the Top Ten, while the release of Blizzard’s gothic RPG Diablo III on consoles as Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition has propelled the PS3 and PS4 versions of the game to fourth and sixth place respectively.

Last week’s launch of Zelda spin-off Hyrule Warriors has tailed off slightly this week, with the game falling to fifth from second and dropping by over 60,000 sales.

The knock-on effect of the Wii U-exclusive game on sales of Nintendo’s latest hardware has also diminished somewhat, with the console selling just over 7,500 units this week, compared to over 17,700 during the previous period.
