President of Doom studio departs for other 'personal interests' after 17 year stay

Todd Hollenshead leaves id Software

Todd Hollenshead has left id Software after 17 years with the company.

He joined the studio of Doom fame as CEO in 1996 and became president when id was bought by ZeniMax in 2009.

Now IGN reports that Hollenshead’s tenure as the company’s business head has come to an end.

“After many years with the studio, Todd Hollenshead decided to leave id Software to pursue other personal interests," said Bethesda’s Pete Hines.

"While Todd was not part of the development teams, he was an integral part of id Software’s success as the business head of the studio and we wish him the very best in his future endeavors."
