Next CS:GO Major to be hosted by PGL in Krakow, Poland

The tournament organisers PGL have been chosen to host the next Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Major, with the live finals set to take place in the Tauron Arena in Krakow, Poland.

Global qualifiers will run across multiple regions throughout June, before all 16 finalists convene in Poland to compete for a piece of the $1,000,000 prize pool. Previous Majors with the same significant prize pool have taken place over the last 12 months, including competitions in Columbus, Cologne and, most recently, the ELEAGUE Major in Atlanta.

Teams already qualified thanks to achieving ‘Legend’ status in Atlanta include Fnatic, SK Gaming, North and Faze Clan. Victors at the previous Major, Astralis, have also been given automatic qualification.

The PGL Major in Krakow continues a run of massive eSports tournaments for the country of Poland. Most recently, IEM Katowice slashed industry records to become the biggest eSports event in history with 173,000 attendees and more than 46 million unique online viewers.
