Anglia Ruskin-run student art competition supported by Sony Cambridge

‘Next Next-Gen’ exhibition to open doors next week

Cambridge’s Anglia Ruskin University will open the second annual Next Next-Gen exhibition to the public next week.

Games students from the East of England have been visualising their thoughts on what the next generation of games will provide as part of a competition run by FDMX, the Film and Digital Media Exchange. The Next-Next Gen exhibition will display the entries received by the organisers, with the winner to be announced on the night and receiving the console of their choice as a prize.

In addition, Sony Worldwide Studios Cambridge has offered the winner a chance to tour their studio and talk to animators and designers. The regional screen agency Screen East is also offering a prize of ‘professional games design software’ to the most innovative entry.

The exhibition takes place in the Ruskin Gallery situated in the Ruskin Building of the University, and is open from July 8th to the 17th. For further information, visit the event website.
