NextGen Skills Academy launches Get Into Games programme

NextGen Skills Academy is to introduce a new programme designed to get teenagers interested in becoming games developers.

Get Into Games is targeted at people aged 14 to 19 and will run across three days, from April 5th to 7th, in Camden City Learning Centre as part of the London Games Festival.

Running through factors of development, from design to production and prototyping, the course will also invite young devs to meet with veterans of the industry and pitch their ideas.

“Connecting young people with industry so that we can educate and inspire the next generation of creative talent is at the heart of what we do here at NextGen,” said NextGen Skills Academy MD Gina Jackson.

“Get Into Games is ideal for any young person interested in creative digital media, regardless of technical knowledge and ability.

“If you have the interest and enthusiasm, we’d love to see you and help give you the knowledge and confidence to think about a career in game development.”
