Nintendo announces Zelda and F-Zero DLC for Mario Kart 8

The Legend of Zelda’s Link and racing IP F-Zero are to star in new DLC coming to Mario Kart 8.

The first of two DLC packs goes by the name The Legend of Zelda X Pack and includes the characters Link, Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach along with an F-Zero kart and Zelda and Wario Gold Mine themed tracks. That’s out in November.

This will be followed in May by the Animal Crossing X Pack which includes the Animal Crossing Villager, Dry Bowser and Isabelle as well as a new Animal Crossing stage amongst others.

Both will cost 7 individually or 11 for the pair. Pre-ordering also immediately unlocks eight assorted Yoshis and Shy Guys.

Note too that Nintendo, being Nintendo, isn’t describing the content as DLC and is instead using the term AoC, which stands for Add On Content. Both are also currently showing as being sold out on the Nintendo store.
