Nintendo cuts DSi and DSI XL price in US

The age of the 3DS is upon us, so it seems only right that Nintendo moves now to slash the price of its last generation handheld.

The DSi will be cut to $99 and its bigger brother, the DSi XL, is to drop to $129. That’s represents a saving of $49 and $39 respectively.

The prices come into effect on May 20th.

It is not yet known when or if similar price cuts will come into effect in the UK.

Nintendo and Sony have had great success with slashing the upfront cost of their older hardware, thus accessing a whole new casual market that would be hesitant to pay full-whack for a modern console.
