Eight games are available to buy now on the Wii U’s Virtual Console store in the US.
Two of them are SNES titles – the seminal Super Mario World and racer F-Zero. The remaining six all stem from the NES era – Donkey Kong Jr, Excitebike, Ice Climber, Kirby’s Adventure, Balloon Fight and Punch-Out.
There are a few changes from the list first suggested by Nintendo last week. Super Metroid and Mega Man are out and Ice Climber is in.
A significant Wii U update which, amongst other things, will significantly speed up load times is due out later this week.
