WiiWare, Wii Fit and Wii Menu to go under the conference microscope

Nintendo talks Wii development at GDC08

The organisers of GDC have confirmed more key sessions for the event, with three talks from Nintendo on the likes of WiiWare, Wii Fit and the Wii Menu.

Takashi Aoyama, group manager for the Network Administration Group at Nintendo, will be telling developers "the story of the development of Wii hardware’s internal programming" looking at how the company has added the likes of the News Channel, the Everybody Votes Channel and the Check Mii Out Channel to the machine’s frontend.

In ‘WiiWare Project Lifecycle: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Little King’, meanwhile, Square-Enix’ Fumiaki Shiraishi and Toshiro Tsuchida will present a in-depth look at the development of their WiiWare launch game.

Plus, Wii Fit will also be examined by Takao Sawano, the deputy GM in entertainment analysis and development, Nintendo, in a talk that discusses "how his team ended up creating an unprecedented new game controller that will have a far-reaching impact for both casual and core gamers".

GDC08 runs from February 18th to 22nd in San Francisco. For info in attending and registration, click here.
