Nvidia has announced the appointment of Collette Kress as the company’s new executive vice president and chief financial officer.
A 24-year veteran of the tech industry with a resume, Kress boasts a stout resum that includes work with Texas Instruments as well as executive stops at Microsoft and –most recently – Cisco Systems.
Kress served as senior vice president and CFO of Cisco’s Business Technology and Operations Finance division, developing financial plans and strategies for the networking equipment manufacturer. She also oversaw all business development as well as engineering and operations.
Kress will begin her duties later this month and report directly to Nvidia president and CEO Jen-Hsun Huang.
"We have searched extensively for the right candidate and are thrilled to have Colette join us," said Huang.
"She brings fantastic experience, excellent financial management skills and deep industry knowledge to Nvidia. Colette will be a great asset as we work to extend our global leadership in visual computing, mobile and the cloud."
