Origin introduces full refunds for EA games

Electronic Arts’ downloads store Origin will now allow customers to request full refunds if they’re not satisfied with one of the publisher’s games.

There are, of course, certain requirements.

Refunds can only be requested within the first week of purchase, or within the week of launch if the game was pre-ordered. Requests must also be made within 24 hours of the first time users boot up their game.

If EA approves the request, it promises players will get their money back within seven to ten days, according to Polygon.

The offer is called the Origin Great Game Guarantee and is as much to do with customer satisfaction as it is to do with whether or not games work or not.

"If something doesn’t work out – you aren’t riveted by the storyline, or sucked in by the action, or even just if the game doesn’t play well with your video card – we’ve got your back," the publisher wrote.

The offer only applies to titles published by EA.
