Martin Pezlar and Ivan Buchta visited Lemnos as tourists and did not enter any military areas, claims Bohemia

Our families need not worry say imprisoned ArmA devs

Two imprisoned Bohemia Interactive developers have spoken out about their tough conditions after being detained in a Greek prison.

The two devs, Martin Pezlar and Ivan Buchta, were arrested on the Greek island of Lemnos last week on suspicion of spying on military installations and entering restricted areas without permission.

Bohemia however has denied this, whilst Pezlar and Buchta have released a statement saying their had been an absurd misunderstanding, and told their families not to worry.

"The conditions are tough, but the people we meet treat us fairly and correctly,” said the developers.

“It is all a completely absurd misunderstanding that will certainly be quickly explained. We mainly think of you, our families; you have to stay calm and not to worry about us. We hope we will meet soon."

In an update on the matter, Bohemia said that its two employees had visited Lemnos on holiday as tourists, did not enter any military areas and did not take any pictures of military objects to be used in ArmA 3.
