Around 20 projects currently underway using Terminal Realityâ??s engine

Over 12 licensees for Infernal Engine this year

Texas-based dev studio and engine provider Terminal Reality has revealed it has signed over a dozen licensees to its Infernal Engine.

The likes of Namco Bandai and Piranha Games have signed licence agreements since the engine launched back in February. Now as many as 20 Infernal-powered projects are underway.

A representative for the company said that the volume of deals is a testament to the versatility of the engine.

“From the Nintendo Wii and the Xbox 360, to the PS3 and the PSP, developers interested in making top-notch games will be hard-pressed to find a better development platform than the Infernal Engine,” said Joe Kreiner, the firm’s VP of sales and marketing.

The firm also revealed three new licensees for the engine. Indian studio Zen Technologies will use the tech to build environment simulators for military institutions, while Trine Games will use the engine for “our next-generation platform as well as Wii”.

Meanwhile the Vancouver-based studio A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. Games is said will use the Infernal Engine for multiple projects.
