Panda Global signs Street Fighter player Punk

With the ELEAGUE Street Fighter V Invitational rapidly approaching Panda Global have decided to sign one of its participants.

The organisation announced the signing of Victor "Punk" Woodley earlier this week, giving the player the backing of a significant organisation just before he heads to Atlanta to play at ELEAGUE.

Punk will play in Group A of the competition, which starts on March 27th. He will have to beat the likes of Lee "Infiltration" Seon-woo, Ricki Ortiz and Yusuke "Momochi" Momochi if he wants to make it to the finals set for May.

Surprisingly Punk was not signed to any organisation before this move. At just 18 years old he is a new face in the scene but has already secured big wins against legends of the scene. He certainly have a bright future.

"Victor first came onto our radar with his explosion at Red Bull Battlegrounds last year and we had a close eye on him since," said Panda Global CEO Alan Bunney M.D. when talking to ESPN. "With his recent performances and stand out personality, we think Punk is going to be one of the dark horses of 2017. Instead of going with an older name in the FGC, we’re excited to support the new blood in the scene!"
