Sony’s PS3 hit 10.5 million global sales at the end of 2007, the platform holder has revealed.
Showing off stats at its PlayStation Day ’08 in at the O2 Arena’s Indigo room in South East London, SCEE president David Reeves also revealed the global sales for other PlayStation hardware at the turn of the year.
According to the stats, PSP had sold 34 million and PS2 sold 127 million units as New Year hit.
All three formats have been on sale for a further five months – and Reeves said that the up-to-date sales data would be revealed as part of Sony’s fiscal announcement next week.
Reeves later revealed: "As of today… [PS3] has sold nearly 12 million units."
