Sony continues developer roadshow with Warwickshire visit on February 26th

PlayStation Open Day bound for Royal Leamington Spa

Following the success of its first PlayStation Open Days at its London HQ, Sony is taking the event to Royal Leamington Spa this February.

Taking place on Wednesday, February 26th, the day will discuss the digital opportunities that PlayStation platforms offer indie developers, with insight not just from Sony’s developer relations and R&D teams but other industry experts as well, including Team 17’s Debbie Bestwick.

The Open Day will be hosted at Arch Creatives, a co-working space that local games developers can use to share ideas, and seek mentoring, training and business support. Arch Creatives is sponsored by Warwickshire District Council and Warwickshire County Council, with more supporting companies to be announced soon.

The panels will repeated across two sessions – one beginning at 10am, the other at 2pm – with 40 spaces available per session. One person per studio can register to attend by emailing DeveloperEvents@scee.net.

Arch Creatives is located at Arch 2, The Creative Railway Arches, Court Street, Leamington Spa, CV31 2DH.

Develop will be hosting a panel during both sessions, and is holding the next Develop Quiz at nearby pub The Duke on the same evening.

Sony told Develop last year that it plans to run more open days around the UK throughout the year.
