Introversion’s Prison Architect has sold over 100,000 copies, the UK indie has announced.
The top-down prison management sim allows users to take control of a maximum security jail and tasks them with hiring staff, building new cells, keeping finances in check and stopping prisoners from escaping.
The game is currently still in Alpha stage, with players able to submit suggestions for changes and report bugs to the title’s wiki website.
In February, Introversion announced it had raised $1 million through crowdfunding for the title from 30,000 backers.
Backers can purchase the title through a number of tiers ranging from a $30 contribution to $500.
Prison Architect is currently being developed for Windows, Mac and Linux, and is currently available on Steam in Early Access form, as well as through the microstudio’s own website.
