Sony’s Ratchet & Clank series continues to hold the No.1 position in the Gfk Top 40.
The action platformer, which became the fastest-selling game in the franchise’s history last week, suffered a 49 per cent sales drop week-on-week. It may sound like a significant drop, but that’s a pretty decent result for a second week sales performance.
The game may have benefitted from the movie release, which arrived on the Friday before these numbers were compiled.
PS4 exclusives have now racked up eight weeks at the top of the charts.
There was just the single new entry in the charts this week, Yo-Kai Watch on 3DS, which debuted in No.14.
Bank Holiday sales had a positive impact on the chart overall, and saw the likes of LEGO Marvel Avengers rise from No.11 to No.6, GTA V move from No.12 to No.8 and Far Cry Primal jump eight places to No.9. Over three quarters of the Top 40 saw sales rise week-on-week.
