Record number of students enter IGF 2014

The Independent Games Festival 2014 has received a record number of entries for its student competition.

Nearly 350 student developers from around the world submitted games for the contest. Finalists and winners will have their titles displayed at next year’s Game Developers Conference.

Games have been designed for a number of platforms, including motion and virtual reality technologies, PC, mobile and console.

Entrants will be evaluated by industry judges, with the winners announced in January 2014. The winner of the Best Student Game will be awarded the accolade during the IGF awards during GDC.

Overall submissions for this year’s IGF have topped 1,000.
