Far Cry 3 may receive a standalone follow-up title called Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.
In an interview with Joystiq, lead writer Jeffrey Yohalem teased the existence of a project with the game’s world and characters in mind.
"Yes … I’m working on something now that will be surprising, I think, when it’s announced. But it definitely is a ‘strike while the iron’s hot’ thing, and we’ll see."
That’s not a whole lot to go off of, but the site also reports that a Brazilian classification board currently shows an Ubisoft listing for Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. The title was classified in January for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
No release date was mentioned, and Ubisoft has yet to officially confirm anything at this point.
